Made in the same English mill as HBC's Hudson’s Bay Point Blanket, the Caribou Throw embodies HBC's "seal of quality" craftsmanship. With its slightly lighter, fringed design, the Caribou Throw has served as a warm and timeless collector’s piece for more than three decades. The multistripes of green, red, yellow and indigo were introduced on the Hudson's Bay Point Blanket at the end of the 18th century. The colours were chosen because they were popular, and easily produced using good colourfast dyes. These four colours are also sometimes known as Queen Anne's colours, since they first became popular during her reign (1702 - 1714). Today, you'll find an assortment of clothing, accessories and home items adorned with the HBC stripes.
