WHAT IT IS

Where this hot dry Eastern wind delivers up its final reward - sap, resin and elixir — to be orchestrated into a redolent, candied fragrance by the alchemist, Serge Lutens.

"A fire fanned by the wind, a desert in flames. As if bursting from the earth, Chergui, a desert wind, creates an effect that involves suction more than blowing, carrying plants, insects and twigs along in an inescapable ascent. Its full, persistent gusts crystallize shrubs, bushes and berries, which proceed to scorch, shrivel up and pay a final ransom in saps, resins and juices. Night falls on a still-smoldering memory, making way for the fragrant, ambery and candied aromas by the alchemist that is Chergui." - Serge Lutens

A perfume line created by Serge Lutens in his own image. Minimalist, straight-lined, angular and uncompromising, each of these bottles with their refined style reflects the exacting nature and character of their creator. A sobriety which enhances the richness and sumptuousness of the perfumes, whose scents and colours are as numerous and as nuanced as precious stones and our personalities. In his now iconic olfactory creations, the perfumer Serge Lutens has for over 20 years been producing strong alcohols with Proustian accents.

From “Féminité du bois”, to “Ambre sultan” and “La fille de Berlin”, each perfume tells their own exceptional story and has their own unique signature.Perhaps even yours? For more than 15 years, Serge Lutens has had the vision to separate the plastic pump from the glass perfume bottle. Both the consumer and the environment are respected: the consumer can choose the way of diffusion - by splashing or spraying - and the bottles are easily recyclable. Made in France.

HOW TO USE IT

Serge Lutens favours the use of premium grade raw materials of natural origin to make its fragrances, driven by the conviction that these alone can ensure full and complex evolution of the perfume on the skin. To use, apply or spray* your chosen fragrance directly onto the skin and let it sit for a few minutes. This allows the composition to take on its full character and reveal its truest, most seductive form. Serge Lutens essences always end up confessing to their deeds!

*Serge Lutens users can choose between two application methods as per their preference: purists can opt for the round stopper and dab on the fragrance using their fingers, while those looking for convenience of use can opt for the spray format
