This lively woody scent for him or her was inspired by the Summer of Love and the hippie trails of the 1960s. Ideas on the next hotspot or music festival were shared within the hippie community by The Invisible Post. 19-69 creator Johan Bergelin is fascinated with the artistic and counterculture of the year 1969, the year of his birth. “The name 19-69 stands for freedom, tolerance and counterculture. The inspiration includes different iconic moments of counterculture throughout history,” he says. “Art, music and different cultures have also left their marks on the products in terms of content, names and packaging. The different colours symbolize a rainbow which in 1969 stood for peace and freedom.” Bergelin works with group of talented artists around the world to develop new fragrances and projects. “I have always surrounded myself with creative people, personal friends as well as professional. What has always inspired me is how these artists very often stand up for their values. They want to make a difference. This can be made in endless ways: a mural painting, a sculpture, photos or music lyrics. You may or may not agree, but it takes guts to stand up for your beliefs and who you are, and I do respect that. I think this is what planted the seed in me and was the beginning of 19-69.” You can experience this approach to art and life in every one of Johan’s fragrances. They are unique, cutting-edge and unlike anything you’ve ever smelled. 100 ml. Made in Italy.

We have a history of making history. HBC has been operating and excelling at what we do for hundreds of years, meaning that we’ve adapted to some pretty monumental changes since our initial charter back in 1670. Our iconic point blankets, which have become a huge part of the fabric of Canada, are seen as an unofficial symbol of Canadians. Even though we’ve grown and adapted for centuries, we’re passionately looking toward the future. We’re proudly redefining an international retail experience and tackling the challenges and opportunities of a limitless, digital landscape.
